Every converter here is free, full size, no account. Photos convert in your browser and never leave it. Video and e-books do need our server — those we delete right after.
ConvertNinja turns the HEIC and HEIF photos an iPhone produces into JPG, PNG or WEBP files that everything else can actually open. That is the whole tool.
The odd part: this site has no server in the loop
Every other converter I tried wanted my holiday photos on their machine first. There is no reason for that. Your browser can already decode and re-encode an image on its own, so that is what happens here: the decoder (heic2any) is served from this domain, runs inside your tab, and your files never leave your device. Pull out your network cable after the page has loaded and the conversion still works. Nothing is stored here because nothing ever arrives here.
The flip side, honestly: a very large batch will make an older phone warm and slow, because it is your processor doing the work, not mine.

The free tier is not a trial and does not run out. Plain image conversion is unlimited because it costs us nothing: it happens in your browser.
Who runs it, and why it's free
One person in the Netherlands, alongside the rest of the ShinobiTools. Since the conversion happens on your device, this site costs me a domain name and some bandwidth — there is no GPU bill to pass on to you and therefore no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. The ads on the page cover the domain. That's all of it.
