Most bulk converters cap what you can do at once — ten files, twenty a day, or a queue that wants an account first. That limit exists because someone is paying a server to process every file. Nothing here runs on a server: your own browser decodes each photo, so there is no per-file cost to ration and no queue to join.
What that means in practice: select a handful of HEICs and they are done before you have finished reading this sentence; select several hundred — a full camera roll dumped off a phone — and your browser will work through them steadily, with each one appearing in the list as it finishes. Doing that in batches of roughly fifty keeps the browser responsive and lets you start saving before the whole set is through.

The operating system doesn't matter: the page brings its own HEIC decoder and runs in the browser. On Windows 10 or 11 there's no codec to buy; HEIC to JPG Windows 10 and 11 alike works in Edge, Chrome or Firefox (see the Windows guide for why Windows struggles).
