Play your video and note the timestamp of the frame you want. At 1:23 you enter 83, minutes times sixty plus the seconds. Decimals work too, so 83.5 gets you the frame half a second later. Not happy with it? Run it again with a different number; nothing is lost.
A screenshot captures whatever your player draws on screen, scaled to your window and often softened. This takes the frame straight out of the file at its own resolution, before any of that happens. A 4K video gives you a 4K still.
The HEIC, JPG, PNG and WebP converters here run entirely inside your browser. Reading a video container is not something a browser can do, so your file is uploaded to our own machine, the frame is taken there, and everything is deleted immediately afterwards.
